One of the best ingredients that this essential oil contains is called camphor. Camphor is a keytone that has decongestant properties, making it ideal to inhale when you’re suffering with a cold, flu, sinus infection or other respiratory health condition.
2. Lavender Essential Oils
Known for being one of the most calming scents ever to be created, it’ll come as no surprise to learn that lavender oils are able to harness many benefits in their ingredients.
Lavender oil contains linalyl acetate; an ester that has sedative properties and can act as an antispasmodic. It also consists of caryophyllene, which gives the same effects as an antidepressant and aids in boosting your overall mood. 3. Grapefruit Essential Oils
Citrus oils are extracted directly from the fruit and is full of vitamins that can be utilised through its’ fragrance and can be extracted through a process called expression.
Grapefruit oils contain two main ingredients – limonene, which gives the uplifting citrus aroma; and myrcene, a terpene ingredient that has antibacterial properties. Both of these ingredients contribute to it being a great option to aid with treating oily and congested skin, as well as acne.
Despite having a shorter shelf life than other pure essential oils, grapefruit oils are generally non-toxic and non-irritating, although they can be phototoxic.
4. Orange Essential Oils
Another citrus oil that can bring many great benefits to your mind, body and wellbeing is the orange essential oil. With a fruity and vibrant scent, the oil has many mood-boosting properties.
